Ground Control

Multi-Platform Communality

All Aeronautics systems have been designed to operate with a communal Ground Control Station (GCS), enabling enhanced strategic versatility as well as scenarios involving multiple systems acting in parallel when operated from same GCS.

UAV Systems can be provided with different types of Ground Datalink Terminals (GDT) as well as multiple configurations of Ground Control Stations.

In addition, Aeronautics has developed an advanced training simulator for its systems, which uses Real Military Equipment (RME) – the actual Ground Control Stations that are used during missions.

Data Links

The Ground Data Terminal is responsible for transmitting fully encrypted data between the Ground Control Station and the UAV. Two types are available:

  • Medium Range

    • Auto-tracking

      directional dish antenna

    • Up to 50 Km

      mission radius

  • Long Range

    • RF box

      Auto-tracking directional

    • Up to 150 Km

      Mission radius

Ground Segment Configurations:

  • Mission Control Station
This trailer-based 20-foot ground control station includes multiple control stations, enabling several missions to be managed in parallel. Each mission control station can contain up to 5 Advanced Control Stations with an intuitive user interface (HOTAS and other peripherals) and two screens to display the MOAV flight application, plus real-time C4I data or other relevant information.
This setup enables effective teamwork, delegation, and data sharing, and can also be integrated within existing war rooms and command centers. The station complies with MIL-STD-810 , MIL-STD-882 and is EM/RFI resistant.
  • Portable Control Station (PGCS)
The Portable Ground Control Station is designed for maximum efficiency, including EM/RFI resistance, full compliance with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-882, and cyber security requirements. The PGCS incorporates flight and mission software, with the ability to control all payloads onboard the UAV.
  • Mobile Mission Ground Control Station
Outfitted for on-the-move missions, the Mobile Mission Ground Control Station integrates the Ground Datalink Terminal and the control station within a single unit, enabling rapid deployment and operation at a remote site, with the ability to quickly change location.

Each station includes tactical and mobile Ground Control Stations (GCS), the station complies with MIL-STD-810 , MIL-STD-882 and is EM/RFI resistant & uses the same operational software found in the Mission Control Station.
