Orbiter 4 VTOL Sets New Standard for Tactical UAVs

In the interview, Aeronautics' CEO Dan Slasky, talked about the Orbiter 4 VTOL UAV, highlighting its ability to combine vertical take-off and landing capabilities with long-endurance intelligence operations in challenging environments. He explained that the system’s flexibility allows forces to operate in confined urban areas, rugged terrain and maritime settings without the need for runways or extensive infrastructure, while also offering the option to switch to traditional launch methods for extended 24-hour missions.

According to Slasky, the UAV’s adaptability makes it ideal for surveillance, reconnaissance, search and rescue, and logistics support, particularly in modern battlefields where air superiority and electronic warfare conditions are uncertain. He emphasized that these advanced capabilities directly address NATO operational requirements and lessons emerging from the war in Ukraine.
